Microsoft World Wide Partner Conference
The start of summer normally heralds the arrival of poor weather, crowded airports and rain delays at Wimbledon. It’s good to see that we’re comfortably on track for another great summer here in Ireland. Within the Microsoft community the first half of July means thousands will be making the long trip to the annual World Wide Partner Conference. This is the annual get together for the partner community, and is attended by sales, marketing and technical representatives from the huge Microsoft Partner community.
For Singularity it’s an occasion to get early information on what Microsoft’s plans are for the coming year, what the hot marketing topics will be, and how best to utilise the next generation of technical innovation in our own products.
It’s also a networking opportunity – to meet with Microsoft people from the Ireland, the UK and Corporate, and to meet with other partners. This networking can be formal, and done with the networking tool, or informal – at one of the social gatherings which fill the evenings.
So as I kiss the soggy kids goodbye on Sunday and board the Continental flight to Houston, can someone please make sure my lawn gets plenty of water?
I will be attending the WWPC Monday – Thursday in Houston. If you want to meet me, please feel free to contact via m.savage@singularity.co.uk
